KENTUCKY BUTTER CAKE 
3 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. sour milk (Use 2 tbsp. vinegar in milk to sour)

Syrup:

1/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat. Add milk and flour mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Prepare syrup. Bring to boil when cake is done, stick holes in cake. Pour syrup. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
