SOUTHERN CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Combine dry ingredients. Add egg and buttermilk. Pour into greased and heated muffin tins or 8" iron skillet. Bake at 450 degrees until done.
