DATE PUDDING 
SYRUP:

2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar

Cook syrup 10 minutes. Drop batter over the syrup by spoonfuls and bake in medium oven, approximately 350 degrees, for 45 minutes.

BATTER:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. dates
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

Walnuts over pudding.
