MOSTACCIOLI WITH SAUCE | |
1 pkg. mostaccioli's (pasta) 1 lb. ground meat 1 green pepper, chopped 1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, chopped 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 3 tsp. oregano 2 tsp. basil 1 tsp. fennel seed 2 bay leaves Brown meat and onions. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients except pasta. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Remove bay leaves. Cook pasta; drain. Put in serving bowl. Pour sauce over pasta and serve with garlic bread. Serves 6. |
