CHILI CON CARNE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, cut in bits
1 tbsp. fat
1 pt. canned tomatoes
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. rice
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 qt. kidney beans

Put the meat, onion and fat in saucepan. Stir and cook until meat has lost its red color and has browned slightly. Mix the tomatoes and flour together. Add this mixture to the meat. Also add the remaining ingredients. Then cook until the mixture reaches the boiling point. Place in the oven and cover.

Bake at 300 degrees for about 2 hours. Serve hot with home-made crackers.
