CHILI CON CARNE * CHOW MEIN
NOODLES
 
2 tbsp. fat
1 c. chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 chopped red pepper
1 clove of garlic chopped
1 pound ground beef
2 1/2 c. tomatoes (no. 2 can)
2 1/2 c. kidney beans
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder

Melt fat in heavy skillet over low heat, add onions, peppers and garlic; stir gently about 3 minutes, or until soft and slightly brown. Remove garlic; add remaining ingredients.

Cover and simmer over low heat about 2 hours, or place in a slow oven (300°F) and bake for 2 hours.

Makes a serving for 6 to 8 people.
