1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
48 Hershey kisses

Oven 375 degrees. Makes about 48 cookies.

Combine all ingredients except kisses in a large bowl. Mix on low speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into small balls, roll balls in sugar, then place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Top each cookie immediately with a Hershey kiss. Press down firmly so cookie cracks around the edge.
