1 c. sugar
1 c. lard
2 eggs
2 c. molasses
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. ginger
6 c. flour + 2 1/2 c. to roll out

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in remaining ingredients and use flour generously to roll out. Cut into shapes with a cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
