4 navel oranges Scoop out pulp (after cutting in half and slicing bottom so they will "sit"). Fill orange cups with ice cream (use muffin tins to hold cups). MAKE MERINGUE: 2 egg whites 1/2 c. sugar 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 tsp. vanilla Beat egg whites until stiff. Add other ingredients slowly, then add vanilla. Cover ice cream with meringue being sure edges are tightly covered. Use finger to swirl into peaks. Freeze. |
