FORGOTTEN CAKE/DESSERT | |
6 egg whites 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Beat egg whites until foamy; add cream of tartar, salt. Beat until very still. Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla. Put in ungreased baking pan (pie pan or 8x12-inch baking dish). Have oven preheated to 425 degrees. Place dessert in oven; turn off heat and leave all day or night. Don't open oven until it's completely cold. Cut and serve with fruit and whipped cream or fruit or lemon filling topped with whipped cream or whip topping. (This is a meringue type dessert.) |
