FAVORITE MEAT LOAF 
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
2 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 c. crushed bran or corn flakes
2 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce or puree

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients except for 1/2 cup of tomato sauce or puree. In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, shape into a loaf. Pour the 1/2 cup of tomato sauce or puree over top of loaf until covered.

Bake, uncovered, 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with horseradish.

Yields 8 servings. This recipe belonged to my mother and father, Helen and Ralph Roof. It was their favorite and one they served often.
