HEARTY LENTIL SOUP 
1 c. dry lentils
1 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. marjoram leaves
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 c. water
1 c. diced, cooked ham
16 oz. can tomatoes, cut up

In large saucepan, combine lentils, carrots, onion, salt, marjoram, pepper and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir in ham and tomatoes. Simmer 15 minutes. 4 (1 1/2 cup) servings.
