CANNED BEETS

Cover beets with water, boil until tender. Remove skins and cut in pieces.

Mix:

1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. whole cloves
1 c. water
Salt to taste

Bring to boil. Add beets, bring to boil. Put in jars and seal.
