ITALIAN HUNTERS STEW 
3 tbsp. oil
2 lb. stew beef
2 clove garlic, minced
3 lg. onions, quartered
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 can sliced carrots
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 lb. ziti
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. rosemary
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can mushrooms
1 tsp. chili powder
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

In Dutch oven, heat oil and brown meat. Add garlic and onions and saute. Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, rosemary and salt. Add 1 cup water.

Simmer, covered, about 2 hours until meat is tender. Add carrots and mushrooms. Meanwhile cook ziti then stir into stew with Parmesan cheese.

Green beans can be substituted for the carrots.
