GROUND BEEF SUPREME 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 c. water

Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, onion, and celery. Shape into an oblong patty about 1 inch thick. Brown in skillet in hot fat. Carefully turn with 2 spatulas. Brown other side. Dilute mushroom soup with water, blending until smooth. Pour over meat and cook on top of range over low heat for 25 minutes.
