DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour (self-rising)
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flour. Add chocolate syrup and vanilla. Pour into 11 1/2 x 8 inch rectangular pan. Bake 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Optional: Add 1 cup chopped pecans.

Leave cake in pan and pour icing over it while it is still warm.

ICING:

1 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/3 c. undiluted evaporated milk

Place sugar, milk, and butter in saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 additional minute. Remove from heat and add chocolate morsels. Stir until dissolved. Pour over cake.
