CARAMEL SLICE 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. med. grind coconut

Melt butter in large saucepan. Remove from heat. Add sugar. Stir. Add beaten egg. Measure in nuts, flour, baking powder, salt and coconut. Stir well. Put into greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until set and a medium brown. Frost when cool with caramel icing.

ICING:

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. icing sugar
