CHOW CHOW 
24 med. green tomatoes, chopped
4 med. onions, chopped
5 lb. cabbage, chopped
2 qt. vinegar
1/3 c. salt
1/8 c. pepper
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. allspice

Chop all of above. Mix rest of ingredients with chopped mixture in large bowl. Simmer for 2-3 hours until tender, stirring frequently. Set aside to cool and pour into jars. Yield 10-12 pint jars.
