MOTHER'S CHOW CHOW 
1 peck (2 gal.) green tomatoes
6 lg. white onions
1 1/2 c. hot pepper
1 lg. cabbage
4 c. sugar
Salt to taste
Red vinegar

Chop up tomatoes, onions, hot pepper and cabbage. Add sugar and salt. Cover mixture with red vinegar. Cook until color changes. Seal in jars.
