MINNESOTA APPLE PIE 
Pastry for a two crust 9-inch pie
6-8 med. Minnesota apples
3/4-1 c. sugar
1/4-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1-2 tbsp. butter

Peel and core apples. Slice into mixing bowl. Combine sugar and cinnamon and add to apples. Stir gently until all apples are coated with the sugar mixture. Fill the 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust and flute the edges. Bake in 400 degree oven 45-50 minutes until top crust is golden brown and apples are tender and bubbly. Serve warm or cold.
