1 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 sm. bay leaf 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 qt. tomato juice 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 1/2 c. Minute Rice Velveeta cheese slices (Use heavy Dutch oven.) Brown hamburger and onions. Drain excess fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese and rice. Stir in rice when the mixture has come to a boil. Turn heat as low as possible. Cover and let cook until rice is tender. Stir gently once or twice. Place cheese slices on top, cover a few minutes until cheese melts. |
