PECAN BRITTLE 
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. pecan syrup
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 c. water
5 c. pecans
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 tbsp. (2 1/4 tsp.) baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cook sugar, syrup and water to 240 degrees, add nuts. Cook to 300 degrees, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and stir until dissolved. Add soda and salt, stirring vigorously. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet and spread thinly.

If not available, use 1 3/4 cups light Karo and add 1 teaspoon vanilla or pecan flavoring.
