APPLE KRISP 
8 to 10 med. cooking apples, peeled and sliced
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. honey
2 c. oats
3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. walnuts
1/4 c. sunflower seeds
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. orange juice

Drizzle lemon juice over sliced apples. Spread half of them into a large, oblong pan. Melt butter and honey together. Combine with oats, flour, nuts, seeds, salt and spices. Crumble 1/2 of mixture over apples in pan. Cover with remaining apple slices and top with remaining oat mixture. Pour orange juice over the top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, uncovered, at 375 degrees. Cover if it crisps too quickly.

Variations:

Mix in raisins and/or cranberries with apples.

Substitute pears or peaches for apples, reduce baking time to 25 minutes for peaches.
