1 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening, sugar, add eggs, salt and vanilla. Beat until creamy and fluffy. Stir in flour. Chill dough at least 2 hours, better overnight. Roll out on well floured board. Cut into cookies and bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool and decorate.
