MORAVIAN GINGER BREAD 
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. molasses
3 1/4 c. sifted flour, all purpose
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
1 tbsp. baking soda
3 beaten eggs

Cream butter and sugar. Add molasses and blend well. Sift together flour, salt, and spices. Combine soda and hot water. Add dry ingredients alternately with hot water mixture. Add beaten eggs. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 12 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
