BERRY, PEACH OR CHERRY COBBLER 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 can fruit
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Omit salt and baking powder, if using self-rising flour.

Melt butter in baking dish. Drain fruit. Remove pits from cherries and save juice. Mix flour and 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk and stir until smooth. Pour into baking dish. Add fruit and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Add juice and bake in moderate oven (about 350 degrees). Serve hot.
