STRAWBERRIES JUBILEE | |
1 qt. strawberries 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. lime juice 1/4 c. rum Vanilla ice cream Slice 3 1/2 cups strawberries; set aside. Slightly mash remaining berries. In chafing dish or saucepan stir together brown sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in mashed berries and lime juice. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly. Add the sliced berries. Heat rum in small saucepan, flame and pour over fruit. Stir gently until flames die. Serve over ice cream. Serves 4. |
