CHINESE COLESLAW | |
1 to 2 bunches Napa cabbage 1 bunch scallions 1/4 to 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sesame seeds 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1 pkg. Ramen noodles DRESSING: 1 c. light olive oil 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. white vinegar 3 tbsp. soy sauce (La Choy) 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Shred Napa cabbage (can be found at Kroger) into bite sized pieces and chop scallions; place in bowl. Make dressing day before. Saute in butter, 1/2 cup sesame seeds and 1/2 cup slivered almonds, drain on paper towels. Right before serving, toss with dressing and almond and sesame seed mix. Top with lightly crushed package of Ramen noodles. This salad does not keep well, eat the same day you make it. |
