1 stick butter 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/3 c. light corn syrup 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. quick uncooked oats 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips 3/4 c. chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking sheet. Beat together the butter, sugar and corn syrup in large bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into baking sheet. Press firmly into pan with moist fingers. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on wire rack. When cool, refrigerate one hour before cutting. Cut into 2-inch bars. |
