HOMEMADE CHEWY GRANOLA BARS 
1 c. packed brown sugar
2/3 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. sunflower nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/3 c. wheat germ
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 c. chocolate chips

Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, peanut butter, corn syrup, butter and vanilla; blend well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press mixture evenly into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely and cut into bars. Store tightly covered.

Wonderful! I tried a few substitutes . . . Instead of Coconut & raisins, use Cranraisins (dried cranberries). Roast the wheat germ for 5 minutes in a 350°F oven. I also used Flax seed instead of sesame. These bars are a BIG hit! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Yum Yum. I found this recipe about a month ago, after having a oat bar at a donut shop. I have made them three times since. They are awesome.

I only used half the sugar and half the corn syrup.I made them with different fruit and nuts each time. I omitted the chocolate chips. 5 stars for sure.

Loved these. I substituted M&M's for choc chips and added chopped dried apricots & prunes instead of the raisins. After they were cooled I drizzled a melted dark chocolate candy bar over the whole thing. Very kid friendly.
