Basic cake mix 5 tbsp. flour 1 1/4 c. milk 1 stick butter (soft) 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 1 tsp. vanilla Bake cake mix as directed in 11 x 13 inch pan for 15 to 20 minutes. Mix flour and milk, cook until thick, cool, set aside. Mix butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla until creamy, add cooled milk and flour mixture, beat until creamy, put on top of cake mix, chill - then add icing. Keep refrigerated. ICING: 1 stick butter (soft) 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 6 tbsp. cocoa 2 1/2 tbsp. water (maybe little more for desired creaminess) |
