OLDE ENGLISH TEA CAKES 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and cream until light and creamy. Add vanilla and blend in. Add dry ingredients and mix. Drop by teaspoon. Touch top of cake lightly with cloth covered glass dipped in sugar. Bake 9 minutes at 350 degrees.

I have made these cookies dozen of times. These cookies are simple and not too rich. They have been acclaimed by my family and friends. A few friend have demanded that I bring these to every gathering and they love me for them. :D The cookies must be baked until they are firm and slightly golden on the edges but not over-baked.
