3 eggs
2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
3 c. apples, diced

Grease and flour tube pan. Mix eggs, sugar, and oil well. Add flour, soda, salt, vanilla, nuts, and apples. Mix well. Bake 2 hours at 300 degrees.

ICING:

1 1/2 sticks whipped butter
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Boil 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over cake while still hot. Let cake cool in pan before removing it.
