SCHNITZEL BEANS (GERMAN) 
2 cans green beans, (french cut or regular), drained
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 sm. onion, chopped

Fry chopped bacon until brown. Add sugar and vinegar to bacon and fat. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Add onions and green beans; simmer about 20 minutes.

Thank you for this recipe. This is a lot quicker than cleaning/snapping & cooking beans. (Has all the ingredients to be great). Have a feeling this will be a regular addition for my food choices. Retired & looking for quick steps in food preparation. This seems to fit the bill.
