1/3 c. soft shortening, creamed
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Chill dough 2 hours. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake until when touched lightly with finger, no; imprint remains. When cool ice and decorate as desired. Oven temperature 375 degrees. Baking time 8 to 10 minutes.
