BATTER ROLLS 
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. yeast
1 egg
3 1/2 c. sifted flour

Scald milk, add sugar, salt, yeast, and butter. Add beaten egg, mix in flour and let rise 30 minutes. Punch down and shape into rolls. Let rise another 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
