FRANKLIN NUT CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. candied pineapple
1/4 lb. candied cherries
1 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and 1-1/2 cups flour. Add salt, baking powder and vanilla. Mix remaining flour, 1/2 cup with fruit and nuts. Stir into batter.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 325°F.
