RAISINS AND NUT CAKE 
1-1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour, self rising
2 c. grated apple
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. oil
3/4 c. raisins

Preheat oven at 350°F.

Mix together sugar and oil. Stir in self rising flour. Add grated apples and mix well. Stir in pecans and raisins. Batter will be lumpy.

Place batter into an ungreased 9x13 inch pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°F.

Check with toothpick. Prepare topping.

Topping:

1/4 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Melt butter in sauce pan and add milk. Allow mixture to get hot and add it to brown sugar. Mix well and pour onto cake while hot. Enjoy cake warm or cool.
