JENNIFER'S BUTTER COOKIES 
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 heaping tsp. baking powder
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 lb. butter
4 lg. eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla or lemon or almond or orange extract
3/4 c. sugar

Sift flour once, measure, then add baking powder and sift again. Cut in butter and butter until small pea size pieces form, then add sugar. Make a well and add slightly beaten eggs and flavoring.

Bring together with spatula being careful not to handle too much. If too soft, add a little more flour. Make cookies with cookie press or by hand, any way you like. Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes at 350 to 375 degrees F. depending on your oven.
