CHUCK WAGON CARROTS 
3 c. (6 med.) sliced (1/4 in.) carrots
3 tbsp. sweet cream butter
1/4 c. cooked, crumbled bacon
2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Microwave: In 2 quart casserole dish, combine 1/2 cup water and carrots. Cover, cook on high until carrots are crisply tender (6 to 8 minutes, stirring after about 3 or 4 minutes). Let stand 1 minute. Drain; set aside. In same casserole dish melt butter on high (40 to 50 seconds). Stir in carrots and remaining ingredients. Cover; cook on high until heated through (3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 1 to 2 minutes). Let stand 1 minute.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
