CHOCOLATE SPINS | |
1/2 c. flour 1 c. white sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 (2 oz.) sq. chocolate, melted 1/2 c. butter, melted together with chocolate 2 eggs, beaten Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted shortening and chocolate. Beat and add vanilla; then add the well beaten eggs. Spread on small greased cookie sheet. (A 13 x 9 inch pan will work or double this recipe for a 15 x 11 1/2 inch jelly roll pan, which really works better). Sprinkle top with chopped nuts. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Cut into squares or bars while still warm. This recipe is so rich it doesn't need frosting, but if you wish you can sift some powdered sugar on top. Quick and easy to make. |
