DANISH PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water

Cut butter into flour as pie crust. Add water to make a soft dough. Divide into two parts. Pat by hand into two strips, 12"x2" on an ungreased cookie sheet.

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
3 regular lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Bring butter and water to a rolling boil, add flour; stir until smooth. Remove from heat, add flavorings, 3 whole eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Divide into 2 parts. Spoon on dough evenly. Bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees. Turn off oven and leave in oven for 10 minutes. Cool. Spread with icing and chop nuts.
