SHRIMP & SCALLOPS IN CREAM SAUCE | |
1/2 lb. lg. shrimp 1/2 lb. lg. sea scallops Flour 4 tbsp. butter 1 sm. lemon 1 sm. orange 2 tbsp. Scotch 1 c. whipping cream In saucepan melt 1 tablespoon butter, add the juice of orange and lemon, add Scotch; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, whip in the cream with wire whisk and simmer 10 minutes. Salt and pepper the shrimp and scallops, dip lightly in flour, fry with remaining butter until golden brown. Add sauce to the shrimp and scallops. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes. To serve: Place 3 shrimp and 4 scallops on medium plate, pour sauce over and garnish. |
