BEEF STROGANOFF 
1/2 c. butter
1 sm. chopped onion
2 lb. beef, cut into cubes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can beef consomme
Water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. horseradish
2 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. sour cream

Saute onion in butter for 5 minutes. Remove onion from pan. Add beef, salt, pepper, beef consomme, 1 cup water, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish. Cook slowly for 2 hours. Add precooked mushrooms. Thicken with flour and 3 tablespoons water slowly add 1 cup sour cream. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6.
