FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. fruit cocktail
Dash of salt
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda

Put dry ingredients in bowl "except soda" mix well. Take a spoon, make a hole in mix and put in eggs. Mix well. Then add fruit cocktail and baking soda. Pour in greased and floured pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and pecans on top of nonbaked cake (3/4 cup each). Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. regular sugar

Boil 2 minutes, pour over cake while still hot.
