BROCCOLI AU GRATIN 
1 med. head cauliflower or 1 bunch broccoli (1 1/2 lbs.)
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. dried bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. oregano (optional)
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese

Cook cauliflower, leaving head intact; place in a large bowl. Add 2 tablespoons water. If using broccoli, cut off about 3 inches from tough stem ends. Cut into spears, place in a 7x11 inch baking dish with flowerets toward center. Add 2 tablespoons water. Cook in microwave, covered, on high for 6-9 minutes. Rearrange broccoli once during cooking.

Melt butter. Stir in bread crumbs and oregano. Cook covered on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until browned. Stir occasionally.

Pat cheese, then crumbs onto cauliflower or sprinkle on broccoli. Cook on high 1 to 3 minutes, until melted. 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
