SAND TARTS 
1/2 lb. butter
7 tbsp. heaping powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp. water
1/2 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Shape dough into small crescents. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar when cool. Yield: 3 dozen.
