SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 eggs
3/4 c. sour cream
3/4 tsp. vanilla or almond
3 c. sugar
3 c. (heaping) flour
1/2 c. milk

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour and soda and add alternately 2 cups of flour with the sour cream. Add milk and flavoring alternately with last cup of flour. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Top with fresh strawberries or tart lemon pie filling.
