JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
4 c. diced and peeled apples 2 c. sugar 3 c. flour 1 c. cooking oil 2 eggs 1 c. chopped walnuts 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg Mix together apples and sugar. Let stand for 1 hour. Beat eggs, add oil and vanilla. Add apples and egg mixture. Stir in walnuts. Add flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg to wet mixture. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. |
