PEACH BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco) 2 eggs 2 c. peaches, drain one lg. can peaches, then puree peaches in blender 2 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. pecans, chopped Preheat oven to 325 degrees; grease and flour 2 loaf pans, 9 x 5 or 8 x 4 inch. Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add peaches and dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in vanilla and pecans until well blended. Pour into prepared loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Cool in pans a few minutes before removing. |
